Ideally located in the heart of Provence, Château l’Escarelle spans 110 hectares of organic vineyards within 1,200 hectares of preserved nature. This unique terroir, with its limestone soils and vines planted up to 500 meters in altitude, gives Escarelle wines a sophisticated signature, expressing all the authenticity and elegance of our region.
Our grape varieties are carefully selected to suit each plot of the estate, allowing us to create fruity, elegant, and expressive wines. The rosés, rich in Cinsault and Grenache, stand out for their great finesse, while the whites, born from the marriage of Rolle and Ugni Blanc, offer freshness and roundness.
Our reds, based on Syrah, Grenache, and Cinsault, are wines for aging, matured in oak barrels, revealing aromas of ripe fruits, vanilla, and undergrowth, with a spicy finish.
The estate’s 1,200 hectares of preserved nature are a true haven for biodiversity. Garrigue, oaks, and endemic species compose a wild and unique landscape in Provence. To protect and enhance this exceptional setting, the estate has launched conservation projects, notably in collaboration with LPO PACA, to study and protect butterflies. This project has identified over 100 species of butterflies, making Château l'Escarelle a pilot site for the preservation of these insects and local biodiversity.
